Dr. Jennifer Welser, DVM, DACVO

Dr. Welser joined CityVet in May 2023 and serves in the role of Chief Strategy Officer.  She brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Global Chief Medical Officer at Mars Veterinary Health.  She also served clinically and in senior leadership at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, founded Veterinary Eye Specialist, and has worked in a variety of clinical roles as a boarded veterinary ophthalmologist. Dr. Welser also successfully licensed and sold a therapeutic nutritional supplement to a global veterinary pharmaceutical company. Her educational background includes a BA in Biology and French from the University of Vermont and a DVM from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. 

Dr. Welser joined CityVet because she believes deeply in the culture and the unique shared ownership model with a support system. She is passionate that the model leads to rewarding and sustainable careers for veterinary teams, as well as exceptional, personalized experiences for clients and the highest quality treatment for pets.

Dr. Welser is based in Dallas with her four dogs.
